BJJ instructor reveals Chuck Norris’ real name is Carlos and talks the time he learned of an illegitimate child

In a recent revelation, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu legend Jean Jacques Machado shared intimate details about his close friendship with martial arts icon and actor Chuck Norris, including the surprising fact that Norris’s given name is actually Carlos.

During a candid conversation, Machado spoke about his personal experiences with the “Walker, Texas Ranger” star, describing how their relationship extended beyond professional boundaries. “We end up having a chance to meet Carlos Norris. That’s his real name. Not the actor Chuck Norris,” Machado disclosed on Combat base podcast.

The BJJ instructor recounted spending time with Norris’s family, staying at his home, and being present during a particularly significant moment in the actor’s life. Machado revealed he was with Norris in Texas when the actor discovered he had a daughter he never knew existed, who was already in her twenties at the time.

“I was in Texas with him, he was nervous,” Machado recalled. “I got this letter from my daughter,” he quoted Norris saying, “I was like, what? You have a daughter?”

According to Machado, the daughter was conceived during Norris’s military service. “It was when he was in the war somewhere and had one night… In the Army in Korea,” he explained.

The revelation occurred during the filming of the first episode of “Walker, Texas Ranger,” with actor Richard Norton also present. “It was me, Richard Norton, him,” Machado remembered, adding, “I love Richard Norton, he’s such a cool guy.”

This intimate glimpse into Norris’s personal life showcases a lesser-known chapter in the martial arts legend’s story, highlighting the deep trust between him and Machado.
