BJ Penn believes Kayla Harrison is using an impostor to cheat in MMA

Former UFC legend BJ Penn has sparked controversy with his latest accusation. He recently claimed that Olympic gold medalist and current MMA star Kayla Harrison is using an impostor to gain unfair advantages in mixed martial arts competition.

Penn also recently made headlines for his conspiracy theory about former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub being deceased NFL player Aaron Hernandez. However, now he has turned his attention to Harrison’s weigh-in procedures.

In a recent social media post, Penn questioned whether the same person who appeared at the official weigh-in was the same individual competing hours later.

“We live in a fantasy world, a world of illusion. The great task of life is finding reality!” Penn wrote, accompanying his post with side-by-side images of Harrison at different times during fight week. “The masked c🐈‍⬛nts don’t have to take a d**g test or weigh in. What an advantage that is.”

The 46-year-old former welterweight and lightweight champion specifically targeted what he perceives as inconsistencies in the weigh-in process. He suggested that contenders are using body doubles to circumvent the sport’s regulations.

Penn’s post featured images labeled with timestamps showing different physical appearances, leading him to ask repeatedly: “IS THIS THE SAME PERSON?”

Penn expanded his theory beyond Harrison, implicating other notable competitors in similar schemes. “NOTHING AGAINST KAYLA SURE JULIANA PENA NEVER WEIGHED IN EITHER. BJ PENN WEIGHED IN EVERY TIME NO IV NO PED!” he declared.

The Hawaiian fighter’s allegations extend to some of the sport’s biggest names, as he suggested that legendary competitors may have avoided legitimate weigh-ins entirely.

“I AM SURE GSP?? KHABIB?? MACACHEV?? NEVER WEIGHED IN!” Penn wrote, questioning the authenticity of their documented competition history.

This latest conspiracy theory represents a continuation of Penn’s increasingly weird behavior and claims about identity substitution. His recent legal troubles have included a court appearance where he disputed his mother’s familial relationship. He told a judge about Lorraine Shin: “This doesn’t have to do with the fact of me and Lorraine not being families.”

Court documents reveal that Penn’s 79-year-old mother obtained a temporary restraining order against him, describing “extreme psychological abuse” and claiming he has accused her of “k*lling his family and taking over his mother’s identity.”

Legal filings suggest Penn may be suffering from Capgras delusional syndrome, a condition where individuals believe close acquaintances have been replaced by identical impostors.

Additionally, his social media activity has raised concerns among fans and fellow competitors, with many calling for the former champion to seek professional help.

Penn’s allegations about Harrison and other contenders lack any substantive evidence, as MMA organizations maintain strict protocols for weigh-ins, PED testing, and more. The athletic commissions overseeing these events employ multiple verification methods to ensure competitor authenticity.

The former champion’s claims have prompted sadness rather than anger. One observer noted about Penn’s recent behavior: “It’s more sad than anything. It’s a shame to see a legend [like this]… This isn’t something to mess around with.”

Penn remains scheduled for upcoming court proceedings related to his restraining order violation, with prosecutors reportedly seeking a court-ordered mental health examination. The restraining order against him has been extended until November 23, requiring him to vacate his Hilo home.
