Former UFC champion BJ Penn has made serious allegations against Georges St-Pierre on social media, claiming the Canadian martial artist engaged in use of performance-enhancers and deceptive practices during his career.
The accusations emerged when Penn responded to a fan comment praising St-Pierre as “the goat” (greatest of all time) on social media. Penn, through his verified account, suggested that St-Pierre utilized various things including “ster*ids insulin growth hormone blood d*ping EPO and whatever else we don’t even know that exist.”
Penn’s allegations extended beyond use, as he also claimed St-Pierre employed someone wearing a mask to handle weigh-ins and testing on his behalf, stating “it’s not like he had to take a dr*g test because the guy in the mask takes dr*g test for him obviously!”
The Hawaiian veteran emphasized his perspective on legacy achievements, suggesting that true greatness requires adherence to rules, commenting “You know the rules if you wanna be the goat, you can’t break them.”
These claims come years after both athletes’ active careers, with St-Pierre having consistently maintained a clean record throughout his time in professional competition. The Canadian star has not yet publicly responded to Penn’s accusations.
Considering the many unlikely fringe theories Penn shares on the daily, St-Pierre is unlikely to ever address this accusation.

The comment was first unearthed by the MMA fan account Borrachinha Depot.

Throughout his career, St-Pierre was known for advocating for stricter testing in professional sports and had previously called for enhanced testing protocols. He retired with one of the most decorated records in the sport’s history.
