In a recent episode of 2 Bears, 1 Cave on YMH Studios, comedian Bert Kreischer opened up about his physical transformation. He revealed that he has lost over 50 lbs (22.7 kg) and is in the best physical shape of his adult life in over two decades.
The topic came up naturally when co-host Tom Segura pointed out that Bert might be “one of the lightest you’ve been in years.”
Bert confirmed it, saying he is “the lightest I’ve been in probably 22 years.”
When pushed on the specifics, Bert was private about the details: “I’ve changed my digital footprint, Tom. I don’t show my workouts. I don’t talk about weight. I don’t post pictures of how f**king amazing I look. I just do the work, Tom.”

He eventually confirmed he is in his 220s lbs (99.8 kg), down from 275 lbs (124.7 kg), representing a loss of more than 50 lbs.

Bert credited much of the transformation to giving up al**hol following a health scare. “Obviously with the blood clot, I can’t drink,” he said. He added that he has been abstinent for several months, with coffee as his only vice. “Nothing. Coffee. That’s it.”
The physical changes have been notable. Bert described a recent run in Washington D.C. that caught him off guard: “I got out of my bus. I was just staying there for two days. And I ran 5 miles so effortlessly that I was like, ‘This is crazy.'”
Sleep quality has become a central part of his transformation. He reports consistently sleeping 10 to 12 hours a night, attributing it to both abstaining from al**hol and lifestyle adjustments.
“I close my eyes and wake up easy every night 10 hours later. If I allow myself to go back to sleep, I sleep 12 hours. My scores are in the green almost every night on my Whoop.”
He added, “I haven’t been in sleep debt, Tom, in two months. I have been out of sleep debt. I’ve lowered my biological age by about two years.” He also noted that he has stopped snoring, which had previously led to him and his wife Leanne sleeping in separate rooms.
One of the more candid moments in the conversation came when Bert described running into a friend named Isla at one of his shows. “First thing she said when she saw me is, ‘You have fingers.’ I said, ‘What?’ She goes, ‘You’ve had sausages your whole life. You have like I can see your bones and your fingers.'” Isla then asked to see his ankles before telling him, “I’m going to give you two days this year that you can drink. Two days and that’s it,” adding, “You look incredible. I’ve never seen you like this.”
Bert summed it all up simply: “I’ve never felt lighter on my feet in my entire life.”
