Belal Muhammad Fires Warning Shot at Jack Della Maddalena’s Training with Craig Jones

In a fiery statement that has quickly circulated through the MMA community, UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad has dismissed Jack Della Maddalena’s preparation with renowned grappling expert Craig Jones ahead of their upcoming clash.

Muhammad, known for his relentless pressure and improved striking, showed supreme confidence when discussing his opponent’s training strategy in a recent video released by UFC on TNT.

“They’re gonna see the best fighter in the UFC. They’re gonna see the most dominant fighter in the UFC,” Muhammad declared with unwavering conviction. “I’m gonna go in there, I’m gonna outbox him. I’m gonna make sure that he knows that there’s levels to this boxing and that he knows what Canelo hands means.”

The champion didn’t stop there, suggesting Della Maddalena’s partnership with submission specialist Jones would prove futile when they meet in the octagon.

“And then he’s gonna have to sit there and think of a plan B. There isn’t be no plan B,” Muhammad continued. “He’s gonna have to pull guard and hope that some of that Craig Jones butt scooting will help him, but it’s not. I’m gonna break him. I’m gonna fold them. He’s gonna go down in three.”

Della Maddalena has been working extensively with Jones, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and ADCC medalist, to prepare for Muhammad’s wrestling-heavy approach. However, Muhammad appears unimpressed by the Australian’s grappling reinforcements.

The training collaboration between Della Maddalena and Jones has become a focal point in the lead-up to this championship bout, with analysts divided on whether the additional grappling expertise will be enough to counter Muhammad’s proven ground control.

Muhammad, who captured the welterweight title with a dominant performance earlier this year, has faced criticism in the past for his methodical approach. However, his recent improvements in striking power, combined with his always-reliable wrestling, have transformed him into one of the UFC’s most complete champions.

The bout is expected to be a classic striker versus grappler matchup, with Della Maddalena known for his devastating knockout power and Muhammad recognized for his grinding pressure and control.

As the verbal sparring continues between camps, fans eagerly await what promises to be an intriguing stylistic clash when these welterweight elites finally meet in the octagon.
