Ari Emanuel teases future UFC event starring Elon Musk’s robots: I want to do a card with his robots

In a recent interview during the All In podcast, entertainment mogul Ari Emanuel shared his ambitious vision for the future of combat sports. It involves Elon Musk’s humanoid robots stepping into the octagon.

The CEO of Endeavor and TKO, who has transformed the UFC into a global powerhouse, expressed his enthusiasm for organizing a card featuring Musk’s advanced robotics technology.

Emanuel’s friendship with Musk dates back to the aftermath of 9/11, when he was searching for an environmentally friendly alternative to his Ferrari. After purchasing one of the first Tesla models—number 11, which he still owns—the two developed a lasting relationship.

This week, Emanuel visited Musk’s facilities to witness the latest developments in robotics firsthand, and what he saw left him genuinely impressed.

“I went up to see the robots because I want to do a UFC fight with his robots,” Emanuel revealed during the podcast. “The man’s a genius.”

He described watching robots that could kick and box, showcasing the remarkable dexterity of their hands and the fluidity of their movements. Emanuel noted he observed what appeared to be third or fourth-generation technology, emphasizing the rapid advancement in their capabilities.

The business case for these robots is equally compelling. According to Emanuel, Musk explained that while approximately 100 million people in the United States have working bodies, a single robot can replace five workers, operating 24 hours a day at roughly a dollar per hour with no human resources complications. Musk believes he can produce a million of these units, creating a highly profitable venture.

For Emanuel, who has built his career on identifying and capitalizing on live entertainment opportunities, a robot fighting championship represents the perfect intersection of technology and spectacle.

Throughout the podcast, he emphasized his strategic focus on live events as the antidote to an AI-driven future, arguing that as automation increases and work weeks potentially shrink to three or four days, people will crave authentic human connection and entertainment experiences.

The concept of robot-versus-robot combat could revolutionize combat sports entertainment. Whether this vision materializes into an actual UFC card remains to be seen.
