Anthony Pettis set to box Roy Jones Jr, on the same card: Jose Aldo, Jacare Souza, And Paul Daley

Jorge Masvidal has stacked the card and is promoting Gamebred Boxing 4.

Masvidal is now entering the boxing ring after promoting events like Gamebred FC and iKON. Roy Masvidal said on The MMA Hour that Jones Jr. will box Anthony Pettis in the main event of his show on April 1 in Milwaukee.

Additionally, other notable matches include those between Jose Aldo and Jeremy Stephens, Vitor Belfort and Jacare Souza, Paul Daley and Anthony Taylor, and Pearl Gonzalez and Gina Mazanys.

Anthony Pettis has a professional MMA record of 25-14 but has no prior boxing training. He recently suffered back-to-back defeats in the PFL against Stevie Ray. In contrast, Roy Jones Jr. has a professional record of 66-9. He last competed in 2018, defeating Scott Sigmon with a decision win. In 2020, he did make a comeback to face Mike Tyson in a match that ended in a draw.

A rematch between Jose Aldo and Jeremy Stephens will be the next matchup on Gamebred Boxing 4. This will be promoted by Jorge Masvidal. In their 2018 clash, Aldo won the match against Stephens through first-round TKO. On February 10, Aldo will make his professional boxing debut and will then take on Stephens.

According to Jorge Masvidal, Jacare Souza will face Vitor Belfort in his boxing debut. After his latest defeat, Souza retired from mixed martial arts. He will now make his boxing debut against Belfort, who just defeated Evander Holyfield by first-round TKO. When Belfort announced his retirement, Souza said that he would be open to boxing Belfort.

Paul Daley proclaimed his retirement from combat sports. However, he will be making a comeback in the other two matches Masvidal stated. He will be competing against Bellator veteran Anthony Taylor, who just switched to boxing. Additionally, Pearl Gonzalez will face UFC veteran Gina Mazany.
