Alex Pereira’s sister Aline set to make her professional MMA debut

Aline Pereira is following in her brother’s footsteps. She is set to make her professional mixed martial arts (MMA) debut at LFA 147 on November 10.

Aline Pereira is the sister of title contender and famous kickboxer Alex Pereira.

Aline Pereira will compete against Helen Peralta at flyweight. The event has only just been announced.

Much like her brother, she competed in kickboxing previously.

As a professional kickboxer, Pereira has made a total of 8 appearances under the Glory banner, resulting in a record of six wins and two losses.

On November 3, 2021, at Glory 77, she competed for the promotion’s super bantamweight title, but she lost in a five-round decision to Tiffany Van Soest.

She is facing Peralta, who appeared on Season 30 of TUF, and has spent the vast portion of her career competing under the Invicta FC banner. Her most recent bout was against Poliana Botelho on September 28 at Invicta FC 49. She lost an unanimous decision.

That same week, Alex Pereira will have his biggest MMA test to date when he faces UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. The two are headlining UFC 281 at Madison Square Garden on November 12th.

Alex Pereira is a rising middleweight contender. He won three straight bouts prior to getting his title shot. His most notable win to date came against Sean Strickland. Strickland fell victim to a vicious shot from Pereira and was knocked out cold.

The rich history between these two warriors is what makes this contest so compelling. Alex Pereira has beaten Adesanya twice in GLORY Kickboxing bouts, most notably with a knockout that required Adesanya wear an oxygen mask in the cage.
