After training with Chuck Liddell, UFC champ Alex Pereira goes a step further imitating the UFC legend

Alex Pereira has been making headlines in the MMA world due to his recent training camp with UFC legends Chuck Liddell and Glover Teixeira. With his first title defense approaching, Pereira is leaving no stone unturned to ensure he retains his title.

Pereira has been training intensively with his coach and mentor, Glover Teixeira, to enhance his overall performance. The Brazilian also brought in former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell to further improve his striking skills.

Pereira took to Twitter to give fans a glimpse of his training, sharing a video where he can be seen hitting pads with Liddell giving him valuable advice. Teixeira was also present, overseeing the training session.

Liddell and Teixeira are both well-known names in the MMA community. Liddell, also known as “The Iceman,” is a former UFC light heavyweight champion and has fought against some of the best fighters in the world. Teixeira is a former UFC light heavyweight champion and has been Pereira’s coach and mentor for several years.

While Pereira is known for his exceptional striking skills, his grappling abilities have been a concern for him. In MMA, grappling is an essential aspect of the sport and is used to take down opponents, control, and submit them. Despite his striking prowess, Pereira has struggled in the grappling aspect, which is something he is working to improve.

Pereira’s first title defense will be against Israel Adesanya in April at UFC 287. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this rematch since Pereira defeated Adesanya in November of last year.

In addition to the highly anticipated middleweight title bout, the card includes several exciting matchups. Welterweight top contender Gilbert Burns will face fan-favorite Jorge Masvidal in the co-main event, while Kevin Holland and Santiago Ponzinibbio will battle it out in a welterweight bout. UFC bantamweight hot prospect Raul Rosas Jr. will also make an appearance.
