Adesanya Picks Mitchell to Beat Jean Silva: “The Fans Still Act Like It’s WWE — They Pick Who’s the Goody and Who’s the Baddie”

Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has weighed in on the upcoming featherweight clash between Bryce Mitchell and UFC newcomer Jean Silva, giving the edge to the more experienced Mitchell.

In recent comments, Adesanya offered his analysis of the matchup while acknowledging the fan dynamics that often surround these contests.

“This is the UFC but the fans still act like this is WWE. They pick who’s goody, who’s the baddie, who’s the good guy, who’s the heel,” Adesanya stated. “And right now you’re in that position so just relish in it and forget everything else and go for the win.”

The stylistic contrast between Mitchell’s grappling-heavy approach and Silva’s striking prowess presents an intriguing clash of styles that has captured Adesanya’s attention.

“I’m gonna go Bryce because of the experience,” Adesanya explained. “But look, I will not be surprised if Jean goes in there and just does work.”

Adesanya’s technical breakdown highlighted potential vulnerabilities in Mitchell’s game: “Bryce is a good striker but sometimes when he’s striking he can’t manage the distance properly. He starts to shoot from a distance that isn’t really gonna get the most success.”

Conversely, “Stylebender” was impressed by Silva’s distance management skills from what he’s observed: “Jean, even from that little clip, I love the way he manages his distance. He was able to just find it.”

Despite this praise for Silva’s technical abilities, Adesanya ultimately sided with Mitchell’s octagon experience as the deciding factor.

“Just off experience I’m gonna go Bryce because he’s been in there with some of the best even though he’s lost. It’s just experience, and Bryce is no joke,” Adesanya concluded, predicting Mitchell would win by decision.

The brewing tension between Mitchell and Silva has added another layer of intrigue to the matchup, something Adesanya noted: “Right now there’s a little bit of beef. It’s kind of cool to see because it’s gonna get them heated up.”

Fans will soon see whether Adesanya’s prediction proves accurate or if Silva can overcome the experience gap and make a statement in his matchup against Mitchell.
