TikTok fitness influencer Wes Watson is back behind bars with no release date in sight after a Miami-Dade County judge revoked his bond following his latest arrest in Broward County on multiple felony charges tied to a domestic violence case.
Watson had already been out on bond connected to a separate violent incident at Elevation Fitness gym in Miami when the new arrest came through. The judge had previously issued a direct warning: get arrested again while out on bond, and that bond is gone.
Watson apparently did not take that warning seriously, and the judge followed through without hesitation.
According to police, the DV incident began after Watson’s girlfriend attended a Miami Heat game with a friend. When a photo or video from the game reached Watson, he allegedly became angry over what she was wearing and accused her of being disrespectful.
When she returned to his residence, the confrontation turned violent. Police allege that he physically restrained her, shook her, applied pressure to her neck, threw her to the ground, dragged her by her hair, struck her multiple times, and at one point forcibly slammed her head into a table. She was left with visible injuries, including bruising and cuts.
The charges do not stop at assault. Watson allegedly prevented her from leaving the residence and threatened her throughout the ordeal, which is where the false imprisonment charge enters the picture.
A prosecutor described the situation in court, stating, “He had his own personal employees threatened her. He had his own personal employees oversee her to see what she was doing on the phone. I think there’s even a reference the victim made that she effectively felt like she was being held hostage.”
One person present in the home, identified as Jose, has since been arrested and is facing felony false imprisonment and witness tampering charges.
As for Watson’s gym case, he had been claiming self-defense despite footage reportedly showing him and others striking another person who was already on the ground. His courtroom conduct during that case did not help his standing with the court either. He directed comments at opposing counsel that included, “Your is busted. You’re talking about st**pid. Why does he get to cut me off? Your questions are like belonging in a circus. You’re like an old dude from Florida or something.”
Watson now faces two active felony cases that are completely stacked on top of each other. His attorney can file motions and attempt to challenge the bond revocation, but as things currently stand, he is sitting in a jail cell awaiting trial.
Reports from people familiar with the situation indicate he has been moved to a separate unit designated for inmates going through physical withdrawal, and that he has largely kept to himself since arriving.
