A BOXER believes he has gained a “superpower” after eating human flesh

Nikita Tszyu has revealed an unconventional approach to enhancing his athletic performance that has raised eyebrows across the sporting world. The boxer, son of former world champion Kosta Tszyu, claims consuming his wife’s placenta has given him extraordinary abilities in the ring.

Following the birth of his first child, Curiosity, in June, Tszyu made the unusual decision to incorporate his wife Nikita Bedwell‘s placenta into his training regimen. The couple opted to freeze-dry the organ, which Tszyu now takes in tablet form as a dietary supplement.

Speaking candidly about his experience on Triple M Breakfast with Beau, Cat & Woodsy, the Australian boxer described the dramatic effects he believes the supplement has had on his performance. “I just had a baby. And my wife… we freeze-dried her placenta and I’ve been supplementing on her placenta recently… in tablet form,” he explained.

The athlete acknowledged the controversial nature of his dietary choice, stating: “I’ve technically become a cannibal. It’s actually like a superpower.”

To validate his claims, Tszyu has conducted his own informal experiments during training sessions. “I’ve done tests with my sparring – days where I’ve had it and days where I haven’t – and it feels like I got all this crazy amount of energy,” he reported.

The boxer’s unconventional nutrition plan extends beyond placenta consumption. He has also incorporated his wife’s breast milk into his diet, describing the experience positively when questioned about it during the radio interview.

“I have, I have,” Tszyu confirmed when asked about consuming breast milk. When the interviewer noted that “They reckon breast milk is the best thing you can have! It’s so good for you, so clean,” the boxer enthusiastically agreed, adding: “Yeah, and it’s delicious as well!”

This unique dietary approach comes as Tszyu prepares for a significant match against the undefeated Lulzim Ismaili scheduled for August 20. The boxer clearly believes his unconventional nutrition strategy will provide him with a competitive edge in what promises to be a challenging match.

While placenta consumption, known as placentophagy, occurs in various cultures and among some new mothers who believe it offers health benefits, Tszyu’s public embrace of the practice as a performance enhancer represents an unusual application in professional athletics. His willingness to experiment with such unconventional methods demonstrates the lengths to which some athletes will go in pursuit of any potential advantage.
