Eddie Hall: “I’d rather get f*cked in the ass by the devil, than fight Francis Ngannou”

In a recent appearance on “The Helwani Show,” former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall expressed significant reservations about a potential bout with heavyweight boxing sensation Francis Ngannou.

When asked about comments from Martin Lewandowski, the founder of KSW, regarding a possible matchup, Hall didn’t mince words about the challenge such a contest would present.

“You’re basically chucking me in with the wolves doing that,” Hall responded candidly. “I would need a bit of time. I would need a lot of training and it would have to be a lot of money.”

The British strongman, who has ventured into exhibition boxing previously with a match against fellow strongman Thor Björnsson, acknowledged the significant preparation such a bout would require.

“The only way I’d [consider it] would be after a hell of a training camp,” Hall explained. “I’d probably want a good six to nine months of training with top-level athletes in top camps.”

Hall was realistic about the disparity in combat sports experience between himself and Ngannou, who is renowned for his devastating knockout power.

“Francis outclasses me in every single way possible in the fight world,” Hall admitted. “But it’s that unknown. If I throw that right hand and it just gets him on the end of the chin, it can happen.”

Despite this slim possibility, Hall emphasized that financial compensation would need to be substantial for him to enter the ring with someone of Ngannou’s caliber.

“It’d have to be a big money incentive for me to do that and literally put my life on the line going in the ring with someone like Ngannou,” he concluded.

While the matchup has generated some social media buzz, many combat sports fans remain skeptical about the potential contest, with several questioning the competitive merit of pitting a former strongman against one of the most feared heavyweight strikers in combat sports history.
