(Video) Khabib roasts Daniel Cormier for driving a Prius in funny car skit

In a lighthearted and entertaining video that has fans laughing across social media, former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov playfully compared fighters from his team to various luxury vehicles – while good-naturedly roasting his friend and fellow UFC legend Daniel Cormier for his economical choice of transportation.

The undefeated Dagestani fighter, known for his dominance in the octagon, showed his humorous side as he assigned high-end cars to his teammates before landing on Cormier, the former two-division champion.

“Daniel Cormier, he drives a Prius,” Khabib revealed with evident amusement. “I tell him, ‘You are champion of two divisions, how do you drive a Prius?’ He barely fits in it.”

According to Khabib, Cormier’s response highlighted his practical nature despite his success: “He says, ‘$20 dollars per week.’ He’s saving money, this man.”

The car comparisons didn’t stop there. Khabib likened Tagir Ulanbekov to “a Mercedes 600 in good condition, from 1997,” while assigning Umar Nurmagomedov “a good restyled X5.” Usman Nurmagomedov was compared to “a matte X7, seventh restyling Hamann in blue color.”

Islam Makhachev, the current UFC lightweight champion, received one of the highest compliments, with Khabib stating: “For Islam, we’ll give him a G-Wagon, probably. Pamfo Pamp should drive such a serious car.”

The former champion also had entertaining descriptions for his management team, comparing Ali Abdelaziz to “some kind of liquid Jaguar in eggplant color. You know, the one where you look at this Jaguar and wonder who drives it.”

For coach Javier Mendez, Khabib assigned “a 2024, fully loaded Lexus 600.”

In a particularly amusing moment, Khabib revealed that his cousin Abubakar Nurmagomedov once purchased a Porsche Panamera “without consulting the team or family,” which they opposed because “at that time he needed to be in the gym, not riding around the city in a nice car.”

Khabib concluded the skit with a philosophical note about himself: “When I was young, in childhood, everyone dreamed of getting a car. But I always wanted to become a car. So that is the difference between me and fighters. My team.”

The video showcases the camaraderie and playful dynamics within Khabib’s team while giving fans a glimpse into the lighter side of these elite athletes.
