Prominent transgender activist Blossom Brown advocated for removing gender divisions in the Olympic Games, a proposal immediately criticized as “completely insane” by host Piers Morgan.
During Thursday’s episode of “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Brown faced off against former collegiate swimmer and anti-transgender activist Riley Gaines on the controversial topic. The discussion took an unexpected turn when Gaines asked Brown if she would support combining the Paralympics with the traditional Olympics.
“I mean, why not?” Brown responded, prompting Gaines to grab her head in visible disbelief.
Brown, who co-hosts “The Trans Parency Podcast” and has established a significant following on TikTok, had earlier expressed support for merging men’s and women’s competitions at the upcoming 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
“This country was built on diversity, equity and inclusion,” Brown stated during the heated exchange.
Morgan responded sharply to Brown’s suggestion: “Congratulations, you excluded all women from winning medals. Well done,” he remarked with sarcastic applause.
The debate comes amid significant policy changes in the United States. Earlier this month, President Trump signed an executive order prohibiting biological males from competing in women’s sports through Title IX. The NCAA followed suit the next day with its own ban on transgender women in women’s sports competitions.
Under the presidential directive, the Department of Homeland Security was instructed to deny visas “made by men attempting to fraudulently enter the United States while identifying themselves as women athletes,” according to Trump, who will remain in office during the Los Angeles Olympics.
During the discussion, Brown questioned why the president, whom she called a “moron,” was focusing on transgender issues rather than other national concerns like the economy.
Morgan rejected this criticism forcefully: “Because he’s up against complete lunatics like you who think it would be right to have a gender-neutral Olympics,” he said. “A gender-neutral Olympics is the most insane thing I’ve ever heard from any trans activist in history.”
The exchange highlights the growing tensions surrounding transgender participation in sports, especially as the Olympics and other major sporting bodies grapple with evolving policies on gender identity and competition categories.
