A self-proclaimed martial arts expert who goes by “Galactic Mastery” (real name Dan Dattilo) has retreated from his own challenge after questioning the legitimacy of mixed martial arts competition.
Dattilo, who claims to possess supernatural abilities including telekinesis and wind control, initially challenged McDojoLife’s Rob, a well-known martial arts commentator, to prove his skills in professional competition. Dattilo markets online courses teaching these purported mystical techniques.
When Rob accepted the challenge and sent a professional promoter to arrange the match, Dattilo not only declined to proceed but also publicly accused Rob of being the one who backed away from the confrontation.
“After I accepted, he didn’t follow through,” Rob explained in a recent video response. “He even went so far as to publicly claim that I had backed out when I sent the promoter to him.”
The situation has drawn attention from the martial arts community, with many expressing skepticism about Dattilo’s claimed abilities. In footage circulating online, Dattilo can be seen performing unusual movements with training equipment and claiming to manipulate objects through mental power.
Rob concluded his response with some pointed advice for Dattilo: “You should probably stick with the woodworking and stay away from the martial arts. Leave that to the professionals.”
