In a surprising appearance on a popular comedy show in Austin, Texas, UFC legend Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone emerged to issue a bold challenge to social media star turned boxer Jake Paul.
Cerrone, who holds an impressive record of 54 professional bouts in his career, would like to come out of retirment after enjoying the benefits of TRT. He expressed a desire to return to the UFC however Dana White seemed reluctant. Cowboy is on a losing spree that stretches back to 2019, when he lost to Tony Ferguson.

However, the former UFC star made it clear he has his sights set on Jake Paul, who has recently expressed interest in transitioning to MMA. “If the guy wants to come to MMA, I’ll gladly whip his a*s,” Cerrone declared during the show.
Cerrone apparently has two left on his contract and would prefer to face him in MMA. Paul is signed to the PFL so the match up is highly unliekly.
When asked about potentially facing Paul in a boxing match instead, Cerrone was candidly self-aware: “I’m terrible at boxing. I have no head movement. I need to take him down.”
The 42-year-old future UFC Hall of Famer’s challenge comes as Paul has been reportedly seeking a bout with Conor McGregor. “Why fight Conor McGregor at 34? Why not fight Cowboy Donald Cerrone at 42 years of age?” questioned one of the show’s participants.
Cerrone’s appearance on the show adds another interesting chapter to the ongoing saga of potential mismatched opponents for Jake Paul, who has yet to respond to this challenge.
