(Video) UFC champion Alex Pereira makes massive bodybuilder quit

During a recent visit to Korea, UFC light-heavyweight champion Alex Pereira engaged in an intriguing arm wrestling match with bodybuilder and influencer Kim Kang Min, known for his appearance on the reality show Physical 100.

The encounter took place during a gym session where the 209lb Kim guided Pereira through various workouts. Prior to their contest, Kim expressed his curiosity through a translator, saying “I’ll see if I’m strong enough to [compete].”

Pereira, responding in Portuguese, showed humility by stating: “I’m strong when competing, but I’m weak when it comes to lifting weights.”

The subsequent arm wrestling match revealed a stark contrast between the two athletes. While Kim visibly strained and perspired during the contest, Pereira maintained a composed demeanor throughout. The match concluded in a mutually agreed draw at Pereira’s suggestion, much to Kim’s apparent relief.

The pair continued their training session in good spirits, ending with both men showcasing their signature poses. The video quickly gained traction online, sparking discussions about different types of strength.

Social media commentators offered various perspectives, with one noting, “Alex has true power. Bodybuilder has show muscles.” Another observer remarked, “Alex Pereira gave that bodybuilder a free physics lesson – turns out muscles don’t mean much when you’re up against a human forklift!”

This gym session is one of several notable moments from Pereira’s Korean tour, where he’s been seen interacting with fans and experiencing local culture. The champion has earned this downtime following an impressive run of three title defenses in seven months, including victories over Jamahal Hill at UFC 300, Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303, and Khalil Rountree Jr at UFC 307, where he secured another victory in the fourth round.
