In a recent episode of the Overdogs Podcast, BJJ legend Craig Jones and UFC veteran Mike Perry engaged in a lively discussion about which fighters they’d want backing them up in a street fight.

When posed the question, Jones didn’t hesitate: “I’d go Brock Lesnar and Gabi Garcia,” he declared. “Brock obviously, you know what I mean? He’s obsessed with…and Gabi, those are the two most intimidating people I know out there.”
Perry, known for his own brawling style, seemed to approve of Jones’ choices. The conversation then shifted to creating the perfect fighter by combining attributes from different athletes.
Jones offered an eclectic mix: “Probably Conor McGregor’s banter, because we’re going to try and make some money out of this thing. Mark Hunt’s chin and legal team. Probably Oliveira on the ground, I reckon. And then for stand up… CM Punk.”
The lighthearted exchange highlighted the respect both men have for fighters across various combat sports disciplines. It also showcased Jones’ quick wit, as he jokingly included pro wrestler CM Punk in his ideal fighter composite.
