(Video) MVP and Farid Basharat get into a scuffle following UFC 304 with Volkanovski trying to defuse incident

In the aftermath of UFC 304, Alexander Volkanovski claimed he attempted to separate a scrap, and it appears Michael ‘Venom’ Page and Farid Basharat were the two men involved.

Explosive footage appears to show the two individuals at loggerheads while the former featherweight world champion and several members of security try to split them up.

Last Saturday, UFC 304 delivered intensity as Tom Aspinall rendered Curtis Blaydes unconscious to retain the interim world title. The major bout caught the attention of Alexander Volkanovski, who flew across the world to catch it live.

Once it ended, he headed back to his hotel in order to catch up with some much-needed rest. However, in a video uploaded to his YouTube page, he claimed he witnessed two men engage in an altercation.

The 145-pound legend opted not to reveal the identities of the pair of individuals, but explained that they were going above and beyond to get at each other, forcing him to try and step in.

The 35-year-old said that he attempted to grab hold of one of the individuals, but failed, with the supposed brawler slipping out of his grasp before running at his target.

Now, a video that seems to back up the Australian’s version of events has come to light.

The footage, uploaded by Casuals Corner, appears to show Michael ‘Venom’ Page and Farid Basharat trying to get at one another, with security desperately struggling to hold the Afghan-English fighter back.

Utilizing his speed, Basharat appears to get around everyone, forcing Volkanovski to go for a single leg. Despite his best efforts, the bantamweight looks to evade the former pound-for-pound number one, before leaving another security guard in the dust.

In the end, the situation is handled, and Basharat looks to leave the building. The UFC has yet to make any statement or confirm the identities of the men involved in the altercation.
