Demetrious Johnson: “Mike Tyson will get knocked out”

Former UFC champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson has voiced his strong opposition to the upcoming fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. The bout, scheduled for November 15, will stream live on Netflix.

Johnson expressed concerns about the well-being of the boxing legend, citing reservations about the highly-anticipated match. “I don’t want to see it (the fight) happen,” Johnson said on his YouTube channel. “I think Mike Tyson is probably going to get knocked out.”

The former UFC champion highlighted his belief that as the fight goes on, Tyson will begin to fatigue. As such, he believes this will eventually create an opportunity for ‘The Problem Child’ to seize the moment, leading to the 27-year-old emerging victorious over another legendary figure.

Johnson suggested that Paul should test his skills against other talented professional boxers, specifically mentioning fighters like Jorge Masvidal as a better test than the 58-year-old Tyson.

In a previous video, Johnson analyzed how the Paul vs. Tyson fight would go, pointing out that Tyson’s biggest challenge would be to avoid falling for one of Paul’s moves when he goes on the offensive. “Jake Paul does have that uppercut… He can probably hit Mike Tyson with as well because Mike Tyson does duck his head to get into the void and get across it,” Johnson said.

While Tyson is way past his prime, Jake Paul is enjoying a purple patch in his professional boxing career with just one defeat to his name. With a 10-1-0 pro boxing record, ‘The Problem Child’ is on a four-fight winning streak. Stakes are high as November awaits the highly anticipated showdown between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.
