Sean Strickland accepts David Goggins’ challenge after Navy Seal beef

Former Navy SEAL and ultramarathon runner David Goggins has issued a challenge to UFC middleweight contender Sean Strickland. The beef between the two began when Strickland made disparaging remarks about Goggins during a recent podcast appearance, calling him a “glorified pu*k” and claiming he did all the running while others did the hard work.

Undeterred, Goggins has now invited Strickland to participate in his personal “Hell Week” – a grueling week of training designed to push participants to their mental and physical limits. The challenge will involve running, rucking, swimming, weightlifting, calisthenics, pull-ups, and push-ups.

“So all you out there who have run your mouth, make sure you tag those [people]…this is your opportunity to show the world that you can fu*k me up,” Goggins said in a video message.

Strickland, who recently defeated Paulo Costa and is awaiting a potential title shot, quickly responded to the challenge. “David Goggins, I heard you want a piece, challenge accepted,” he wrote on Instagram. “Just so you know man, the only thing you’ll ever beat me at in life is running. Guess what? I don’t have to fu*k run. You run from me…”

This feud has added an interesting dynamic to the middleweight landscape. Goggins, known for his unparalleled mental toughness and physical endurance, has already helped train fighters like Tony Ferguson. However, Strickland’s brash and unfiltered personality makes him a formidable opponent, both inside and outside the octagon.

Whether the “Hell Week” challenge will come to fruition remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – this clash between the former Navy SEAL and the outspoken UFC star has the potential to be a captivating crossover event.
