Rosas, speaking after his victory, wasn’t surprised by Turcios’ actions. He suggested that Turcios’ behavior was a result of nervousness and an inability to handle the pressure of the spotlight. “I knew he was going to come out hard and try to swing. He likes high-paced fights, so I anticipated a lot of scrambling. My plan was to slow him down and find the finish,” Rosas explained. “From the faceoff, I could tell he was emotional and nervous. He didn’t handle the pressure well, which is why he reacted the way he did.”
