UFC flyweight Mariya Agapova took to social media to express her frustrations with her current contractual situation with the UFC. In an Instagram post, the 25-year-old Russian fighter said she has two fights left on her UFC contract but has been unable to get booked for her next bout despite her documents being in order for a month.
Agapova revealed that the UFC contract restricts her from taking other fights or promotion opportunities to earn money. She stated she trains 2-3 times per day but cannot get a job due to her fighting commitments. Agapova thanked her friends, sponsors, and tattoo clients for their financial help but said she urgently needs a fight contract from the UFC.
The Kazakhstani star urgently needs her next UFC fight booked, as her “documents have been in order for a month” but there is still no clarity on when she’ll get a contract.

In the meantime, Agapova has a grappling match lined up on May 30th at the Pit Submission Series in Austin, Texas, where she will take on 17-year-old jiu-jitsu prodigy Helena Crevar. However, this appears to be a mismatch, as Crevar is a John Danaher disciple who has already qualified for the prestigious ADCC tournament, while Agapova was previously choked unconscious at a UFC event in 2022.

In a concerning Instagram post, the 25-year-old said “In a week, I’ll probably be homeless” due to her inability to work a job alongside her UFC fighting commitments. She claimed she can no longer trust people and does not have money for rent, so will be “looking for a homeless shelter” next week.
Agapova’s record currently stands at 2-3 in the UFC flyweight division. Her desperate pleas highlight the financial insecurity faced by many younger UFC athletes restricted by exclusive contracts.
