Justin Gaethje running contest for custom design American Flag Shorts

UFC lightweight contender Justin Gaethje is set to have a title shot against the reigning champion Charles Oliveira on May 7th. ‘The Highlight’ said that he wants to wear something a little bit different than the usual – custom shorts.

Justin Gaethje said that he wants to wear custom shorts depicting the American flag for his next bout. He is also looking for a designer to design the shorts. Gaethje took to his Twitter account to announce the competition.

“I want to wear my country’s flag on my body on May 7th. I need an artist to design some fight shorts that I can convince the UFC to let me wear. I will Venmo $500 to the best design. The Sooner the better so I can file the paperwork. Send to [email protected].” Gaethje wrote.

It’s all thanks to the featherweight prospect Bryce Mitchell. Previously, Mitchell asked UFC president Dana White if he can wear camo shorts for his fights. Surprisingly, ‘Thug Nasty’ managed to convince UFC and Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell to get him the camo shorts.

Bryce Mitchell also responded to Gaethje’s tweet.

“I’m great at convincing them about shorts bro hit me up.” Mitchell wrote.

Justin Gaethje showed incredible striking skill during his clash against Michael Chandler in November last year. The two fought fiercely for 5 rounds and Gaethje was announced as the winner via unanimous decision. So far, Gaethje has an MMA record consisting of 23 wins and 3 losses, with 19 wins via knockouts. A fight against a grappling master like Charles Oliveira is definitely a must-watch.
