Chimaev might be trying to project an image of a hotshot but he’s all but that in the presence of Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov.
Khamzat Chimaev has been in his native land of Chechenya for his wedding. The entire trip to the country has been publicized by the controversial figure.
Kadyrov is a long time patron of MMA in addition to being an autocratic dictator accused of ‘disappearing’ a number of people.
Chimaev dropped in to an Akhmat Sila, the club Kadyrov founded. There he sparred with several of Kadyrov’s children and Kadyrov himself.
Despite being super successful in the UFC, Chimaev was taking it easy on the powerful family.

Despite the fact that this is only a friendly sparring, the “Chechen Wolf” exhausted his rivals in his usual manner, once again proving his skill and composure in the fighting arena.
Despite the formidable and eminent opponent, the guys were in no way inferior to Khamzat in skill. As befits the fighters, they analyzed the movements and weaknesses of the opponent, and then proceeded to counterattacks. At the end of the training, I myself could not resist the temptation to test my strength in a friendly duel with our dear BROTHER.
The usual training, smoothly flowing into a sports spectacle, is of particular value to me. Even being a world famous person and a titled athlete, Khamzat does not forget about modesty. This is the real Chechen spirit!”
