UFC Defied A Judge’s Orders By Airing A Donald Trump Ad Which Promised Americans A $5,000 Check If Republicans Keep Control Of Congress

The UFC broadcast a political advertisement from Donald Trump during its event in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 31, 2026. This happened one day after a judge ruled against the continued airing of the spot.

According to sources, the commercial ran on Paramount+ in picture-in-picture format and promoted what Trump called the “Trump Dividend,” a proposed $5,000 payment to Americans contingent on Republicans maintaining control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate in the November 2026 midterm elections.

Even with Republican control of both chambers, Congress would still need to appropriate funds before any checks could be distributed.

The Trump administration defended the continued broadcast by characterizing the spots as public service announcements rather than campaign material. Sports media analyst Drew Lerner noted the timing, observing that the UFC aired the advertisement just one day after the judicial decision. The court, judge, and specific legal grounds for the ruling were not identified in available reporting.

Social media users expressed skepticism and frustration. One viewer on X wrote, “Does anyone believe this?” Another said, “I turned it off after I saw this.” A third commenter, identifying as a longtime fan, wrote, “Ewww. Don’t give me more reasons to stop watching the UFC after 30 years.”

The UFC and Trump have maintained a visible relationship in recent years. Earlier in 2026, the organization held an event on the White House lawn timed to Trump’s 80th birthday. Saturday’s advertisement represented the latest instance of Trump’s political messaging appearing during a UFC broadcast.

On Monday, November 2, Trump spoke at a ceremony marking the reopening of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. During the nearly 30-minute address, he displayed photographs of granite stones that had been removed and replaced as part of renovation work. Approximately 60 chairs had been arranged for the audience, with additional space for reporters. The pool stood behind ballistic glass.

“Today, I’m thrilled to announce the official opening of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool,” Trump said. He then suggested renaming it “Trump Reflecting Pool” before adding, “Now, I’m only kidding.” He described the restoration work, saying, “This is a massive piece of pool,” and called it the biggest in the world.
