Fitness Influencer’s Wife Used His Own Social Media To Accuse Him Of Being Unfaithful

A British fitness coach with massive following found himself at the center of an online storm after his wife accessed his Instagram account and posted messages claiming he had been unfaithful.

Bailey Scarlett used George Armstrong’s social media profile to share a series of stories on October 2, writing them as if Armstrong himself were confessing to infidelity. Armstrong, who founded the online coaching business Physique Academy, has built a following of more than 300,000 people with content focused on discipline and self-improvement.

The posts disappeared from his account within hours, but not before screenshots circulated widely across various platforms. The incident quickly became a talking point among fitness communities and beyond.

Scarlett later issued an apology that appeared on both her own Instagram account and Armstrong’s. “I want to apologise for the statements I posted humiliating George,” she wrote. She acknowledged that the posts “came from a deep place of hurt and a feeling of betrayal.”

In a significant reversal, Scarlett clarified that the behavior she had described in the original posts “did not occur during the time of our relationship.” She expressed regret that the matter “should have been dealt with in private and not aired on social media.”

“It was immature and I take full responsibility for my actions,” Scarlett stated. She attributed her actions to mental health struggles and said she is currently working with professionals to receive support.

Armstrong responded with his own statement posted to Instagram Stories. He revealed that he and Scarlett had already separated before the public incident took place. “Bailey and I had separated before these events unfolded, and I want to make one thing very clear: I did not cheat on Bailey while we were in a relationship,” he wrote.

The fitness coach said he would not be sharing private details with his audience, citing respect for Scarlett and their family. Despite the public nature of the accusations, Armstrong took a conciliatory tone.

“I forgive Bailey for what has happened publicly,” he said. “She is a genuinely good-hearted person, someone I care about deeply, and most importantly, she is the mother of my child.”

For Armstrong, whose brand centers on self-discipline and personal development, the situation presented an unexpected test of those very principles. Both parties have now moved forward with statements emphasizing privacy and focusing on their roles as co-parents.
