Boxer Derek Chisora: Dana White Operates Like A Slave Owner

British heavyweight Derek Chisora has launched an attack on UFC president Dana White, comparing his treatment of athletes to that of a slave owner. The outspoken boxer made the controversial remarks during an interview while discussing the upcoming Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury heavyweight clash.

When asked about the recent public dispute between boxing promoter Eddie Hearn and White, Chisora did not hold back his feelings about the UFC boss.

“Dana White is not my cup of tea to be honest with you because the way he operates is just he operates like a slave owner man,” Chisora stated. “You know boxers want to compete on his platform, he tells him you’re not good enough for me so go away. What’s a boxer going to do? What is he going to do after that? That’s not right.”

The heavyweight contender expanded on his criticism, highlighting what he sees as fundamental flaws in White’s approach to managing boxers.

“You know everybody wants to compete. They might not be good on that night but they can be better next night. So his way of operating is just bullish and then I don’t like it,” Chisora explained.

Beyond his harsh words for White, Chisora also weighed in on the highly anticipated Joshua-Fury matchup scheduled for Cardiff. When ranking the matchup among British boxing’s biggest moments, he placed it at number two, reserving the top spot for the Conor Benn vs. Chris Eubank Jr. bout.

His reasoning was rooted in history: “Both fathers box each other. Both fathers were there alive and both kids compete against each other.”

Regarding the outcome of Joshua-Fury, Chisora was emphatic about what needs to happen. “AJ has to knock him out. That’s it. AJ has to hit him so hard and knock him out. That’s it. Nothing else.”
