Former Major League Baseball star Jose Canseco recently gave some strong opinions about aliens, Bigfoot and government theories.
Appearing for an interview for All The Smoke podcast, Canseco was asked to rate a series of popular conspiracy theories. It was on a scale from 1 meaning completely fake to 10 meaning 100% real.
When Bigfoot came up, Canseco didn’t hesitate.
“10. I truly believe there’s some species out there unknown to man that the government is hiding that we know nothing about,” Canseco said.
That wasn’t the only extraterrestrial-related claim Canseco made during the conversation. The former MLB slugger also suggested that humans may have some sort of arrangement with aliens.
“100% times infinity. As a matter of fact, I believe we have some type of agreement with aliens,” Canseco said.
Asked about the Moon landing, Canseco gave it a five. He explained that he doesn’t know enough about “that science area” to make a stronger judgment.
Meanwhile, Flat Earth theory received a clear rejection. “No, it can’t be flat,” Canseco said with a laugh. “Just gravity keeps everything together.”
He was similarly dismissive when asked about the Loch Ness Monster. “It does not,” Canseco said when asked whether he believed Nessie was real.
Interestingly, Canseco’s skepticism also extended to one conspiracy theory that has occasionally surrounded professional sports: tanking. Asked whether he believed pro sports teams deliberately lose games to improve their future draft position, Canseco didn’t buy it.
“That’s impossible,” he said. “There’s no such thing.”
And when Area 51 came up, Canseco gave another interesting answer. He said he didn’t believe the infamous Nevada facility is currently hiding something, but claimed that it had in the past.
“It is not now, but it was in the past. Yes, 100%,” Canseco said.
