Jay Alderete turned in the most memorable performance of Fury FC 121 on Saturday night, stopping former UFC veteran Cameron Smotherman via a head kick and choke combination that sent the arena into absolute pandemonium and produced scenes that extended well beyond the final bell.
The decisive sequence arrived quickly. Alderete landed a precise head kick that sent Smotherman crashing to the canvas, then immediately locked in a choke from closed guard. Smotherman went limp before the referee could intervene.
