UFC Ratings For Conor McGregor Return Released By Paramount+

Conor McGregor’s return to the Octagon after a five-year absence delivered record-breaking viewership numbers for Paramount+, the platform announced Thursday, confirming what many in the combat sports world had long suspected: the Irish superstar’s pull on a global audience remains unmatched.

The event, UFC 329: McGregor vs. Holloway 2, brought McGregor back to competition on Saturday night against Max Holloway. The night took an unexpected turn when McGregor sustained a serious leg injury early in the opening round, cutting the bout short before it could fully develop.

Even so, the audience figures that followed paint a clear picture of his enduring appeal.

Paramount+ announced “nearly 16M viewers and a record-breaking 8M peak concurrent str3ams for UFC 329: McGregor vs Holloway 2 in the U.S. and Latin America, more than any other exclusive live event and behind only Super Bowl LVIII across all live events for the str3amer.”

The full breakdown was released alongside the announcement:

Total Viewers Reached: 15.9 million
U.S.: 14.3 million
Latin America: 1.6 million

Peak Simultaneous Viewers:
UFC 329: 8.3 million
UFC Freedom 250: 7.9 million
UFC 324: 5.93 million

Live Average Minute Audience, Main Card: 6.5 million

The numbers place UFC 329 as the most-watched live MMA event in Paramount+’s history and rank it among the platform’s top live events overall, trailing only the Super Bowl. For context, the previous MMA high-water mark on the platform stood at 7.9 million simultaneous viewers, a figure UFC 329 surpassed by a considerable margin.
