A YouTuber who goes by Nuka Zeus spent over 100 days injecting himself with melanotan II, the same peptide Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been suspected of using, in an effort to darken his skin.
The self-described transracial white man documented the entire process on his YouTube channel, beginning in September 2019.
Melanotan II is a synthetic peptide that stimulates melanin production in the skin. While it is sometimes used to treat certain skin conditions, it is more commonly sought online for its tanning effects. The compound has also been noted for its use in treating erectile dysfunction.
Nuka Zeus, who identifies as Black despite being white, described the experiment in his own words: “The injections that I inject into myself, as an experimental d**g, supposedly makes your pigments working overtime to produce more melanin in the skin.”
He documented early side effects on day seven, noting he was feeling “light-headed, feeling tired and drowsy.”
By day 50, he reported visible changes: “I am getting darker and I love it. My n**ples are no longer pink, y’all. My d*ck is no longer pink, it’s like light brown.”
By day 100, the physical transformation was visible on camera. Throughout the process, he combined the injections with regular tanning bed sessions, which he said he used “every other day.”
What made Nuka Zeus’s story particularly notable was not just the physical experiment but the ideology surrounding it. He has “Black Power” tattooed on one arm and an expletive directed at white people on the other.
In one video, he stated plainly: “Yes, I do have a tattoo that says f*** whites. Yes, I am anti-white. Yes, I do not like white people. Yes, I do h*te white people.”
Despite being white himself, he condemned Black women in relationships with white men, calling them “sellouts” and arguing that interracial relationships weaken cultural roots. In one video he told a woman directly, “You’re sleeping with the godd*mn enemy.”
In a video titled “Who Is Nuka Zeus,” he framed his identity in metaphysical terms. “My whole spirit and soul, from the beginning of time, has always been a black guy. But then when I di3d and restarted this file, I’m in a body that looks like it’s… I’m still a black man as I always been, but for some reason my spirit decided to play a game and experiment and pick this new avatar.”
