Dana White joined Meta’s board of directors in January 2025, and during a recent sit-down with TIME magazine, the UFC president made it clear exactly what he thinks of company founder Mark Zuckerberg. According to White, Zuckerberg is the most driven and formidable person he has ever encountered, ranking above some of the biggest names in sports and business.
Calling Zuckerberg one of the most impressive people he has ever met, White compared him to several figures he considers elite competitors.
“One of the most impressive human beings that I’ve ever met in my life,” White said.
He then explained the type of personality he admires.
“I like ki llers. I like Michael Jordan. I like Tyson, you know, I like Carl Icahn and these type of guys,” he said before adding, “and Mark Zuckerberg might be the biggest kil ler I’ve ever met in my life.”
What impressed White most wasn’t Zuckerberg’s immense wealth or success, but the fact that neither appears to have diminished his ambition.
“What I love about him is the amount of money and success that he’s had has not even slowed him down a bit,” White said.
Instead, White described someone who remains relentlessly focused on what comes next.
“It’s just more, more, what’s next? What’s next? And fascinating,” he said.
White also highlighted Zuckerberg’s level of involvement across his businesses, contrasting it with his own experience running the UFC.
“There’s some stuff going on in here in the UFC that I guarantee you I don’t know about right now,” White admitted.
According to White, Zuckerberg operates very differently.
“There’s anything that goes on in any of those businesses that he doesn’t know about,” he said. “Not only does he know what’s going on, he knows everybody who’s working on it, everything, and he’s always evaluating them and seeing if they’re taking everything to the next level.”
As he wrapped up his assessment, White returned to the same theme that defined his praise throughout the interview.
“One of the most fascinating, absolute ki llers that I’ve ever met in my life,” White said.
