In a three-hour conversation on The Iced Coffee Hour podcast, self-improvement looksmaxxing influencer Clavicular laid out his philosophy on physical enhancement and what he believes are the most effective methods for improving one’s appearance.
The 20-year-old content creator, who started taking testosterone at age 14, offered hosts Graham Stephan and Jack Selby a detailed breakdown of his approach to what he calls “looksmaxxing.”
When asked what Graham could do to optimize his appearance, Clavicular didn’t hold back.
“It looks like your hairline’s receding a little bit,” he observed. Clavicular then recommended: “So, I would start with like a hair loss protocol. That would be a good place.”
When host Graham then said that he uses finasteride, Clavicular replied: “You use finasteride? Okay. Well, even dutasteride might be a little bit better. There’s less chance of like libido related issues.”
Clavicular also suggested adding minoxidil to regrow hair along with getting a jaw surgery. He said: “So, I would switch over to DT. Take minoxidil to regrow everything. And like you know, obviously like a double jaw surgery, you would certainly qualify for.”
For coloring improvements, Clavicular recommended both hosts take carotenoid supplements. He stated: “Both of you, you [Graham] more so could certainly benefit from taking things like carotenoids because you really lack like their reddish like undertones. That’s like a health indicator that indicates like proper blood flow.”
He described this as a way to look healthier by mimicking good circulation through compounds like lycopene and astaxanthin.
When it came to Jack, Clavicular suggested melanotan II, a peptide that increases melanin production and creates a tan. “That’s going to decrease your chances of getting skin cancer,” he claimed.
He then added, “All you’re doing is preventing premature aging mechanisms by inducing melanogenesis so that the amount of UV exposure drastically decreases.”
Clavicular also recommended under-eye concealer for both hosts, noting that “all actors, celebrities are doing this anyway.”
Clavicular proposed what he called “chewing” to increase jaw width, though he cautioned this depends on masseter muscle placement.
“If your masseter is lower set in your jaw and you want to do is chew because it’s going to increase your bigonial width,” he explained, adding that this could “ascend you quite significantly” if anatomically appropriate.
Beyond cosmetic recommendations, Clavicular advocated for double jaw surgery for himself, an expensive procedure he estimated at $35,000. “They basically make a cut on the lower jaw and then move it forward and apply screws,” he described. “And same with the upper jaw. It’s called a LeFort I osteotomy. They cut along your anterior nasal spine and then advance your jaw forward.”
When asked how much he thought the surgery would improve his appearance, he estimated “one and a half points” on a ten-point scale. Despite warnings from his parents, he remained committed to the procedure, insisting he had done extensive research and wouldn’t “permanently disfigure myself for that reason.”
On testosterone use, Clavicular suggested it as “the best way to looksmaxx and increase your dimorphism” for the hosts. “It’s not only going to increase your dimorphism in the face, but increase your presence, your frame,” he argued.
Throughout the conversation, Clavicular maintained that his approach stems from objectivity rather than insecurity. “I’m coming from a place of pure objectivity and I’m just trying to improve a metric I know is valuable,” he said.
He defined looksmaxxing not as a destination but as an ongoing process: “There’s no end goal to looksmaxxing. The only real goal is to get better looking, no matter what it takes.”
The influencer estimated that he spends between $50,000 and $80,000 annually on peptides and various protocols.
