MMA Analyst On UFC White House: There Is No Walking This Back, Your Organization Is A Trump Organization

MMA analyst Luke Thomas delivered an assessment of the UFC’s attempt to distance itself from the political implications of hosting an event at the White House. In a recent YouTube video, he argued that the organization has permanently tied itself to Donald Trump and cannot walk back that association.

Thomas directly challenged recent statements from UFC and TKO leadership suggesting the White House event is about celebrating July 4th and American independence.

“This entire event exists for one freaking reason. One reason only, because it is a political reward from the White House to the UFC for helping return him to office,” Thomas stated.

He noted the event isn’t even scheduled near July 4th anymore but rather on Trump’s birthday, calling attempts to frame it as patriotic celebration a “smokescreen for low IQ” people.

The analyst rejected UFC CEO Dana White’s recent comments on CBS Sunday Morning, where White suggested people should “be authentic” and that disagreement doesn’t preclude getting along.

“You helped support at the time a political candidate who is much closer to the fourth Reich than he is Gerald Ford,” Thomas responded. “This is not a political dispute over, oh well, one side likes to use earned income tax credits one way and the other side doesn’t.”

Thomas argued the UFC was “absolutely instrumental in rehabilitating Donald Trump after January 6,” describing Trump as “absolutely without question the biggest threat to American democracy during the course of my lifetime and potentially since the Civil War.”

According to Thomas, the UFC’s political positioning has fundamentally altered its fan base. “Every time you guys trotted him out with Kid Rock music, every time the athletes fawned over him and every time you guys let them get up there and just say the most outlandish things, you created and cultivated a climate that was absolutely radioactive to people of the left persuasion. And they all left.”

Thomas traced this transformation from the first BMF match between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal at Madison Square Garden through Jon Jones’s recent match at the same venue, noting how the fan base composition shifted dramatically.

The analyst dismissed any possibility of reconciliation or neutrality. “There is no walking this back. There is no sanewashing this. There is none of this,” Thomas declared. “You made a conscious decision to get behind a guy who is a destabilizing threat to the entire world who is destroying this country day over day.”

Thomas concluded with finality about the UFC’s identity transformation: “Your world is Trump world. Your organization is a Trump organization. Your sport is a Trump sport. And the only reason it is that way is because you elected to do it. Welcome to the fresh he*ll you have created for yourself.”
