UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili is known for his relentless combat style and outgoing personality. In a recent appearance on the Daniel Cormier Show, Dvalishvili revealed a more traditional side when discussing his search for a life partner. The Georgian made it clear that he believes dating apps are not the path to finding a quality wife.
When asked about his approach to finding a wife, Dvalishvili was direct in his assessment of modern dating platforms. “Dating sites not good for wives, but you know you get all the ho*s there,” he stated bluntly, suggesting that these platforms are better suited for casual encounters rather than serious relationships.
The 33-year-old champion expressed that after 13 years in America and achieving his ultimate goal of becoming UFC champion, he’s ready to settle down and start a family. “I’m very happy 13 years. I’m grateful for all the moments but like now it’s enough you know it’s it’s enough. It’s time to find a good quality wife and have a beautiful family,” Dvalishvili explained.
His preferences for a potential wife are quite specific and rooted in traditional values. He stated his priority would be a Georgian woman, though he acknowledged the challenges of finding one who maintains traditional values after immigrating to America.
“Even Georgians. Great people, they come America, most people change you know,” he observed.
Dvalishvili emphasized that he’s not interested in dating within the fighting or entertainment world. “I don’t want a fighter girl. No wrestler, no fighter, no popular girl, no Instagram model girl, you know,” he said, making it clear that his party days are behind him. “That’s all for fun now it’s time to marry someone that matters.”
Dvalishvili is currently preparing for his title defense against Cory Sanhagen at UFC 320.
