50 year old bodybuilder Kali Muscle hospitalized after fainting at the gym

Bodybuilder and internet sensation Chuck Kirkendall, widely recognized by his stage name Kali Muscle, has been taken to a California hospital after losing consciousness during a workout session, according to reports from his wife.

The 50-year-old fitness personality’s wife, Croatian YouTuber Helena Vladisavljević Kirkendall, confirmed the incident. According to sources, she revealed that her husband has a history of cardiac issues, having previously experienced a heart attack. Following that medical emergency, doctors inserted a stent to enhance blood circulation through his arteries.

The exact cause of this latest health scare has not been disclosed.

Kirkendall has built an impressive career beyond the gym, appearing in national advertising campaigns for major brands including Geico and Taco Bell. His muscular physique has also landed him roles in music videos, working alongside prominent artists such as country musician Jamey Johnson and hip-hop star Kendrick Lamar.

His YouTube presence is equally substantial, with a following of 3.9 million subscribers who tune in for his fitness content and personal updates.

News of his hospitalization has prompted an outpouring of concern from his fanbase across social media platforms.

“Hope he’s getting proper medical guidance,” wrote one supporter, adding, “intense routines can sometimes overlook the body’s signals.”

Another follower expressed the community’s anxiety, stating: “We can’t afford to lose another childhood bodybuilding icon.”

The fitness and bodybuilding community has faced a particularly difficult period recently, with multiple prominent figures experiencing serious health complications or passing away. The list includes Brazilian competitor Arlindo de Souza, who was 55, and 20-year-old Jodi Vance, who had competed at the Arnold Sports Festival and reportedly battled severe dehydration before her passing in April.

The months that followed saw additional losses, including Vittorio ‘Vito’ Pirbazari in May, Colombian bodybuilder Zunilda Hoyos Mendez in June, and Spain’s Lorena Blanco in July. In August, 37-year-old Hayley McNeff passed away, with postmortem examinations revealing multiple PEDs in her system.

Ricardo ‘Kadu’ Nolasco dos Santos, an 11-time Brazilian champion, was only 31 when he passed in October, reportedly from a stroke. Most recently, Chinese bodybuilder Wang Kun’s December passing was attributed to what the Anhui Provincial Bodybuilding Association described as “seems to be due to a heart problem.”

As Kirkendall receives treatment, his supporters continue monitoring for updates on his condition and recovery.
